A Line Between Us
This work arises from a deeply personal place, yet its meaning has universal meaning.
I experience this performance as an intimate pilgrimage — a soft crossing through memory and landscape.
Each step becomes a gesture. The line I leave behind unfolds as a drawing in the landscape — a trace of an inner path, a trembling contour of grief and remembrance, a movement across invisible borders, toward connection, continuation, and return. In countless traditions, the tree stands as a symbol of eternity —a silent bridge between earth and sky, a life that endures in patience and stillness. It is planted for those who are no longer here. Here, such rituals have no fixed place, no boundary within which they belong. And yet, at the end of this walk, I plant a tree —a sign that holds both time and space,a living mark at the edge of absence.
This act of planting moves beyond memory. It becomes an offering — a quiet defiance of finality, a way to return life to a landscape of sorrow.
A tree carries the strength of transformation. It grows where all boundaries seem closed, where life appears to have withdrawn. grows where it seems that nothing else can.
